Since 1993 we have published a newsletter four times a year called "The Cross Eyed Bear". There is a lovely story behind the name of our newsletter which has to do with our mascot, a very large teddy bear named "Gladly" who first visited St. David's on Christmas Eve in 1991 and has stayed with us ever since. He was dropped off by a mysterious stranger who never returned. He is always dressed appropriately for every festive occasion. On any given Sunday morning Gladly can be seen sitting in a pew, sometimes downstairs, sometimes in the balcony. On special occasions he has been known to occupy a place of honour in the pulpit or in the choir loft!
